We got our first Malamute over 12 years ago because we fell in love with the breed while visiting a dog show and we have never regretted choosing the Alaskan Malamute as our breed.

After getting our first bitch and learning the ropes of showing, grooming, training from Dru Ann Martin of Asgard Alaskan Malmutes we were quickly drawn to get a second pup from her --- he turned out be “Thor” the foundation of our kennel.

From the start Thor loved the show ring and loved being loved on, he is truly the softest, sweetest Mal we have ever know.

These two dogs moved with us to Houston, TX where they adjusted to the heat by learning to live most of the summer in air conditioned bliss laying about our living room floor. Thor is a once in a lifetime dog for us and we waited many more years before bringing another Mal into our lives, that turned out to be Ellie, a beautiful Chupak dog that although now spayed, rules this house as only a true princess can!

Again we waited and this past year acquired a new puppy, Loki, a Firestorm dog from Wild Wind’s Chester and he has fit into our pack a smooth as silk! So we currently have three Mals who we not only show, but love as we do our children, they are a definite part of our family.

Our kennel name, Fenrir, is taken from the name of the wolf who lived in Asgard the mythical land of the Norse gods and goddesses. We chose this because our foundation came from Asgard kennels.

We breed very rarely, and with great care so that we can do our best to produce fine dogs to reflect on this magnificent breed! Our motto is “Quality before Quantity” and as our Malamutes are part of our family we take that seriously!

We do have frozen semen available from Thor for approved bitches, and we are expecting great things from our newest addition Loki. We hope to see you in the show ring or at any other malamute related function that promotes this wonderful breed.
